Oh my,
I know I left a comment today. IT's gone and I can't remember what I said but I am sure it went something like this: Gorgeous photograph and I see now why you love Arona so very much.

Thank you, M.Isabel!!

Thank you too for your kind words, Eki!!

Hi, Dina!! The two worlds would probably not have clashed because we took over a lot from ancient Greece!

Thanka, Kris!!

Hi, Ann!!
I had to visit a winery not far from this historical site in Sicily called Selinunte. The weather was (luckily for photographers' eyes) very bad and after having visited the site in the pouring rain, I left for the airport by car and when I looked back to give a last glance at his magnificent temple dedicated to Hera, wife of Zeus and Olympian queen of the gods,I saw this beautiful landscape. Selinunte and Agrigento are in Sicily the two most important testimonies to Ancient Greece.

Thanks, Petrea!!

Thank you, Virginia!!
As I mentioned to Ann above, I took this photo not long ago when I had to visit a winery in Sicily.
Here in the north of Italy we have historical sites related to the Roman Empire, with, of course, Rome as the centre if it all.

Thank you for commenting, Evlahos!!

Thanks for visiting again and for your comments, Ken!!

No, Tr3nta, I went out of my way all the way to Sicily and was able to capture this at the end of my trip.

Bellissima tonalità. E poi quelle nuvole che delineano un triangolo puntato sul tempio sono perfette. Questi due mondi lontanissimi non si sono incontrati per caso! Grazie!
