A detail of the lid of a 30cm long and 15cm wide 1900 Art Nouveau glove case which was used by my grandmother. The case itself is in brass but is covered allover with this spectacular inlay of enamel in different colours. The inside is lined with dark mauve colour velvet.

excellent artwork. thank for shared it
This is exquisite. Can you imagine how lovely the world would be today if everyday items were created with this kind of care and artistry? Wow.
Great shot!
Thanks, Evlahos!!
Thank you, Laurie!!
The world would indeed be a much better place from this point of view!!
I like the color combination, especially turquoise background. Have an air of Turkish traditional ceramics known as Çini; decorated with blues, turquoise, green and red, that were produced in Iznik and Kutahya from the 15th to 17th centuries.
I saw this on the portal and just had to find out what it was. The artwork is superb and you're very fortunate to have such a beautiful heirloom.
Oh a glove case. Harkens back to the day when ladies wore those buttery soft leather gloves when they dressed up. I still remember the smell of them. What a beautiful treasure from your grandmother.
Beautiful colors.
What a beautiful artifact this is! I love the details of this artwork you captured here.
Thanks for sharing this.
