Mountain huts

The weather can suddenly change high up in the mountains.

Very dramatic. Thos Alpine shots are superb!

Was Felix the Cat Australian? Find out at Sydney Daily Photo!

I wondered why you used that particular title until I enlarged the image. This is quite an awesome image in all meanings of that word. The colouring of the clouds and the way they are pouring over the hill top tells just a little of the power of nature.

Did you have to run for it ... or just get soaked?

Thank you for visiting and for your kind comments, Sally!!

Thanks Julie!!
I took this picture from the valley. The bad weather did not burst loose until the following night. As I mentioned in my comment, the weather at that height can change so quickly. We always have weather-proof jackets, trousers and shoes with us, just in case...
We go to the Alps or Dolomites every summer, to spend a part of our holidays there. It is also nice because we have known quite lot of people there over the years, and we see each other only in the mountains.... all at our very best!

I'm also loving your alpine shots. Wonderful stormy sky. Didn't realise there were huts until I read Julie's comment and went back and had another look.
