You are righ, Jules! My wife said exactly the same thing!

About the wall itself (in the City of Novara), there is very little left of this part of the City-Wall, perhaps only a few meters, and low to the ground. I have unfortunately no further photos of it, as I was concentrating shooting the birds' actions.

I am glad you like it, Rose! Although the photo is nothing special, it was a very funny scene and my attention was drawn because of the "yelling" of the little fellow.

I'm so taken by the old stones I didn't think of the bird. Just beautiful.

Animal and bird behavior is always entertaining. Nice interpretation of this little guy's intentions :)

Amazing how some structures can survive so many years, while we in the USA, at least, find it so easy to knock down a perfectly good house just so we can build a bigger and more ostentatious dwelling.

Thanks for visiting my blog, Chuck!
We are lucky here in Italy in this aspect, as we have a Ministry that looks after buildings and areas of historical value. I personally live in a building which is about 400 years old, like the other buildings in the neighbourhood. All buildings in this area have been restorated during the centuries. In Italy in general you will find an enormous quantity of such buildings which are even much older!

How cheerful post and I know that problem very well as three children`s mother and now as five grandchildren`s grandmother :))
thank you for your visit my blog.
Have a happy weekend!
Now I go and find, where Novara is located exactly :)

That's what you call 'standing the test of time' - both the wall and the mother/child relationship.

Thank you, all, and enjoy your weekend!

The bird is cute but the wall, the wall is tremendous! Look at those lovely stones!
And your house--you're so lucky to live inside the history.
