This small statue is a tribute to the fishermen of the fishing harbour Arona used to be in the previous centuries.
Today, we hade 16° Celsius and a perfectly blue sky. I went to the Chinese Consulate in Milan this morning to get my visa for my trip (second half of April) to China. Towards noon temperatures rose even to 18° (finaly!!)
Wonderful bw series, Dieterick. I took some time looking at each, each one has its own balance, in its own way. The one I prefer and by a long way is this one, with its luminous tones of grey... a hotograph with defects.
Congratulations to an expert black and white photographer.
Winter has finally made way to a shy beginning of Spring and I will try and continue to capture the best spects of it, not ony because of my photographic curiosity, but also because your comments are more stimulating than you think, and for which I thank you all!

A perfect conclusion to this excellent trilogy. And now...bring on the spring!
Exquisite image!
Fantastic Scene!
All the three of these are spectacular. I would love to have them on my wall!
It doesn't look like my previous comment made it through. So I'll say it again: I enjoyed this winter trilogy!

Stunning. I almost regret saying goodbye to winter in Arona!
