Apart from the lake...
...we also have this at 30 minutes distance from Arona. We went there last saturday at noon for a few hours. Wonderful thick snow, ideal for skiing. Temperatures? About - 3° Celsius. Silence? Yes, total silence! Just the sound of skis sliding over the snow. Unfortunately the snow lasts there for only two, maximum three months, because the area is subject to the influence of the mild lake climate. But all the same...not bad!
