... go to the Dolomites. This mountain area, at about a three hours drive from where I live in northern Italy, offers the most spectacular sceneries for long walks and excellent food and white wines in small and very clean family-run hotels. I took this photo in late summer but I wanted to show it to you all the same because yesterday it seemed like summer here on the lake with temperatures reaching 27° Celsius.

Looks just like something in National Geographic Magazine or on a picture post card. Nice photo. Lovely scene.
Oh what a beautiful scenery!! I'm glad I found your blog. I will be popping in often to see more of your surroundings
Thank you, Abraham!!
These surroundings are indeed National Geographic Magazine worthwhile. Have a good weekend!
Thank you for your kind words, Dina and you are always welcome!!
What a wonderful place to be ... ! Yes, I'd love to be there ...
Makes me think of "The hills are alive with the sound of muuuusic"
Great work!
This is a post card scene. I'd love to take walks here and dine in small hotels. Sounds wonderful.
I'm with Fredrik, I think I hear Julie Andrews singing too. Just a beautiful photo today as always. Here in Alabama, our very first chilly morning. Sent me in search of a robe! Maybe fall is here.
Is impossible not to be really relaxed in one place like this. it looks like a therapeutic place !!
I've been there a long long time ago but my memories stay so good! I was a child but i've never forgotten these landscapes (and these little metal medals my parents put on my wooden walking stick after our hikes!)
I wish you a good week end!
Looks like a picture postcard, a truly beautiful place where to enjoy fresh air and tranquility.
What a great place to relax. Great photo. Thanks for sharing.

The Indian Summer is everywhere!!!
This picture reminds me of the Austrian mountains landscape...
Enjoy a balmy WE
Another beauty. That could get me motivated to climb a couple of mountains!
Well, little ones, anyway.
This scene looks like something you might find in a travel magazine or as Abraham said, National Geographic! It is certainly beautiful and looks like the perfect place to relax and unwind. I'm glad you decided to share this stunning photo with us!
Thank you all of you!!
What a great place to visit! I might not want to return home though. ;-)
superbe panorama.
What a great photo of a beautiful place. It looks so perfectly green and blue.
Oh yes, my kind of countryside! Just the name Dolomites evokes feelings of "I wanna go there!"
