Thank you, Frankie and Nick!!

Thanks for visiting, Olivier!!
The tower with the clock is part of the church "Santa Maria" (late 13th Century)located in Arona's central square "San Graziano".
The bell tower was positioned on the tower at the end of the 17th Century. Then, about six years ago, it was decided to change the colour into dark pink, which caused disappearance of the original "patina".

Tomorrow I will post a photo of two other buildings on this square, one which dates back to the 14th Century (and which was perfectly restorated) and the other (in which I live) which was built in the 16th Century but has also been badly manipulated throughout the centuries, receiving its latest version in 1989. Both buildings belonged to a monastery (also in the Square).

Thanks for visiting, Mumbaiiteanu!!

With a view like that from one's window, why go anywhere else? Perfect view & perfect shot.

Gulp!
What a source of constant inspiration - I look out onto an alley way and when I look up I have the neighbour's satellite dish, antenna and airconditioning unit. However, beyond that I do have the sky - which is dark and stormy this morning.
