Memories of summer

One of the special treats of living on a lake like this in Europe are the ships. When we lived by Luzern close to Vierwalderstattersee, if we stayed in town, we used to take the ship to the next station on Sundays & stroll back. (One more time, thanks for evoking the good memories.)
PS I recently read The Battle of Villa Fiorita by Rumer Godden - that's partly set in Italy on a lake. Your terrace reminds me of the terrace on the villa in the novel.

Thank you for visiting, Tash!!
Yes, you are right. These ships are a treat indeed and I always find it a luxury to be able to use them as a taxi boat from one town to the other, which I quite often do, instead of taking the car.

le b&w sépia rend très bien, on a l'impression d'être dans une autre époque.

b&w sepia makes it very well, the impression of being in another era.
