Perfect in black and white with the pattern that leads us to the lodge.

Really needs to be viewed enlarged to fully appreciate it, like many of your pictures. Beautiful!

Beautiful winter image, perfect in monochrome. I picked one of your photos as a Best of 2008 and linked to it over at GDP on New Years Day. Drop by if you have time and see which one. Your blog is one of those that sets the standard for the portal. Thanks for the inspiration!

The lines of vines leave a perfect cross-hatching, Diederick. I adore the geometry that you have captured here and to have such a title leads our eye up to the very ridge itself. Lovely ...

This is so elegant, with all the textures leading into the scene.

I really enjoy viewing your images as you understand photography and convey the beauty of the image to the viewer.

Oh Julie's right . the crosshatching detail is amazing. The lodge is the prize when the eye wanders up the photo. Gorgeous.

What beauty in that sweep of the vines. How fabulous.

Thanks for your comment - yes, it's the same in France, couples leave the church last. I laughed about the lady who caught the bouquet!

L'inverno presenta meravigliosi paesaggi che pochi sanno scorgere, peccato sia così freddo.

Really ???
I hope, you have some kind of warming system in your home !
You will get more cold weathers, said the weather forecast.
We are here in safe even in -35 degrees Celsius with our warm houses because frosts are here every winter as you know.

I wish you warm days and plenty of happiness in 2009!
