Mottarone At about 45 minutes from Arona we also have beautiful ski-slopes on the mountain of "Mottarone" (1.100m) just above Stresa. Yesterday it was a magnificent day with hundreds of people skiing on dry "powder-snow". From the very top one can see Lake Orta with the island of San Giulio and part of Lake Maggiore.
