Yes, it`s easy to believe by looking at this picture, but where is this place :) Perhaps I could rent it - it`s raining here and the temperature is 7 degrees Celsius!

Have a happy weekend over there!

I have blocked my blogs and I put now and then some pictures only to my Aminus page:

Somehow I do not equate palm trees with northern Italy. Surely they are not native - are they?

This and the previous post show off the area around the lake so delightfully.

Thanks for visiting, Leenam!!
Unfortunately it is not for rent, because it is part of a private home. I have heard that you have bad weather. Also my relatives in Holland inform me that summer has been very bad there. We have been lucky here, because August has been wonderful and summer is still continuing.

Hello Julie!!
I can assure you that there are many (too many) palm trees of this kind over here. Birds are responsible for this. I have even small palm leafs coming out of some of the vases I have on my terrace and it is so hard to get the roots out!

Thanks, Meead!! Arona and its surroundings with this soft micro-climate are indeed very beautiful and I appreciate and experience its beauty every single day.

Palmtrees (of all kinds) are among my favourite trees! I'm lucky to live in an area at Oeiras called 'Quinta das Palmeiras'; that means 'Palmtree Farm', so you can imagine how lucky I am... :-)
Your photo is beautiful (as usual!).

Oh my. The green with envy thing is resurfacing. That is one gorgeous site. Am I correct.. this is not your home but it is in your cityy of Arona??

Thanks, JM!!

Thank you too, Jilly!!

Thank you, Dina!!

It is unfortunately not in my home, Virginia, but in a Mansion just outside Arona along the lake.

Far more green than California, but it does remind me of the scenery I saw while I was there last week. I love tall palms!

Meead's right! Arona looks like heaven.

It's the squirrels here that cause trouble. They bury walnuts from the tree down the street. It's just a compulsion for them - they don't know a walnut tree won't grow in a flower pot.

Ah, at an enjoyable scene to take a siesta on that hammock. Lovely scenery!
