Another one...

This manor is not far from the one I posted yesterday.

This is a case where monotone gives an entirely different feel to the photo.

I'd like to live in one...don't mind which.
It's amazing how the first house, in colour, looks so much more attractive and welcoming.

I love this one too. How many of your new buidlings in Arona look like them? Did you miss your old architecture as we did in Iran?

The removal of the colour tells us more about the character of the building. We are no longer constrained by what our eyes tell us. Now our imagination is welcome to tell us that this building is eerie, that this building has a past. It will vary with the individual looking at the image.

Those big houses look lovely, but I wouldn't want to cut the grass.... or do the housework!

Thank, Virginia!!

According to me these are two totally different manors, Angela!! I decided to post the second one into one colour only as it has a more important historical past. Unfortunately the present owners do not look after it as the building requires. It is my favourate one, though...

Most of the buildings of Arona's historical centre date back to the 17th Century, Meead!!
It is also today's trend to saveguard most of these buildings, in order to saveguard their history.
There are many newer buildings here, but no so many to disturb the original features of the past.

Correct, Julie!!

I am sure the owners have people who do that for them, Shammickite!!

A timeless classic, image and building.

It looks like something from Disneyland, not real, not familiar, but wonderful
