Waiting for the sun...

Thunder, rain, wind...as if hell has broken loose above Arona at this very moment (5.41 in the morning). Let's hope that these two boats will get a chance to go out.

This will be my last post for some time, as from tomorrow onwards I will be working hard on my son's appartment to get it ready before he gets married to his wonderful girlfriend at the end of this year. Scraping old wallpaper from the walls, taking out the old bathroom, renewing the kitchen and other works I will be doing together with them. We have never done that before but what we have done sofar turned out well.
I will be visiting your blogs looking at your photos and will return with mine as soon as possible...
Be good!

Good luck on your renovation work. You should print some of your pictures (like this one) and hang them on his walls.

Diederich,
How nice of you to help them out. Yes, we need some before and after photos of the renovation. We will miss you lovely photos while you are hard at work. Wallpaper removal is my most dreaded job of all. Today your composition and contrast is marvelous.

Lovely photo! I hope you got some water.

And good luck with the apartment rennovation! :)

Thank you all of you for your highly appreciated comments.
We are working on my son's appartment but stripping wallpaper, tiles and old glue from the walls and paint from the windows is harder than I expected. Suddenly this 110m2 appartment seems to be more than double!
Take care.

So many of us are waiting for the sun. It always seems to be elsewhere. Beautiful image, more so for the lack of sunlight. Good luck with the work.

Those lovely boats are waiting for the sun, while all of us are waiting for you to return with you gorgeous photographs. What a wonderful father and father in law you are to help with so much renovation!

Yeah, scraping stuff all day is not so much fun. At least you know your work is for a good cause.
Bon courage.

Thank you again, my friends.
We are nearly there with the works! We have had luck with the weather: windy, dry and temperatures between 28 and 30° Celsius.

Last weekend I have escaped to the wine-paradise again, where I have done little else than baking in the sun laying lazily on a water-bed in a swimming pool, with a glass of cold white wine in the hand. I made only two photos which I will post in the next few days.
