(I am in Holland during the forthcoming week and will from today on not have the possibility to post until Friday next week. I will in the meantime continue to make photos for postings when I will be back in Italy. I wish you all a nice weekend and a good coming week. See you on Friday!)

Thank you for visiting, Picture to words!! I am not allowed to return to Italy if I do not have "stroopwafels" with me...!
Thank you also for linking my blog to yours!
It still looks very formidable up on the mountain.
Have a great week.
BTW, my blog also has a link to yours, but it is with the new system which shows updates better than the RSS feeds do. But my format seems to allow such links only at the bottom of the page.
Thanks for the link between your and my blog, Dina! I really appreciate that!
It's just not fair....that you have such a magnificent city to photograph each day!!! I am adding a link to your blog as well. That is a great photo - very moody. Have a wonderful trip!
Thank you, Virgina, and thank you for linking my blog to yours!
Captivating image, menacing yet extraordinarily beautiful.
Veel plezier in Holland - say hi to my home country.
Dank je wel, Dido!!
Your angle heightens the how dominant these castles appear to us. However, I thought that castles and monasteries and the like were built on hills as protection from being invaded. Not sure that the "wash" works as well on this image as it did on the image of the fishermen on the lake. However, I do very much like what you say by using that angle.

this is wonderful!!
This would be a great cover for a gothic novel! Marvelous photo. Hope your trip is enjoyable.
Bella! A safe journey to you in Holland.
Amazing, simply amazing.. Almost too perfect to be real!
Everything is so picturesque!
What camera do you use?
BTW I have you linked, but the link is down below on my template..But I'm going to make a link up top like I have a few others, and show case different ones at a time.
You're a really good photographer.
Sorry for answering so late, Julie, but I am still in Holland and I do not get connection very often where I am.
I really do appreciate your comments! As far as he domineering heights are concerned, churches, cloisters and castles cn oftten be found at such heights so they could see the enemy already from far away, plus the fact that they were not so easily attackable. In many regions in Italy you see such buildings on top of hills and mountains.
Thank you for your comments, Omami!!
Thank you too, Tash! It was my intention t give the photo this slightly Gothic and medieval atmosphere.
Thank you for your kind comments, jerez!!
I use a normal very flat digtal CASIO camera with 7,2 mega pixels (EXILIM it says on the front).
I also do photoshop activities, to give my photos a certain twist.... a bit of "electronic painting"...
Grazie mille, Dusty Lens!
Very dramatic image.
Thank you, Babooshka!!
