I made an early-morning walk along the lake this morning before posting these sleepy sailing boats. It had just stopped raining after weeks of continous rainfall in this area. Further rain is foreseen during the forthcoming days in this part of Italy, while in the centre and south temperatures have rises as far as till 39° Celsius. Nature's thermostat is not working properly any more, which is surely also our own fault.

Thanks for visiting my blog.
As you might have seen, I am married to an Italian and we return there on a fairly regular basis. Where is Arona? My husband's family is in Rimini but I lived for a decade in Torino, where I met my husband.
Love your photos, by the way.
Suzanne, Thank you visiting my blog. Arona is right on Lake Maggiore, about 60km north-west of Milan, in the Province of Novara.
It is just where Lake Maggiore turns into the river Ticino. Its location is magnificent.
I like misty morning mood and reflection of the pillars in the calm water. Also the title is great.
Thank you, Selim! You know how much your opinion means to me!
I answered you on my blog before coming back here. I just want to let you know how much I envy you.
Beatiful and peaceful image, thanks from sharing this morning!
Thank you, Carraol!
Such tranquility. Good eye
Thanks, Steve!
That's such an amazing picture. I posted a picture of boats in Newhaven (Edinburgh) yesterday, though they look much more 'down to earth' - quite literally!
This such an ethereal image. It's just so mesmerizing, beacause it's so tranquil. Stunning.
Thanks, Babooshka!
That is a beautiful photo

Wow! This is really spectacular. I love soft misty mornings like this. Outstanding picture.
They look as if they were placed on a mirror. Oh how I loathe being land locked. You are blessed to live in such a beautiful place.

Yes, Tori, I do realize I live in a beautiful place, where the water element adds its magical touch to this landscape.
