it seems that you are stepping inside a late 19th century painting.

I went through your old posts and had a great time. I'm guessing that Arona is not that different in climate from the Swiss towns on Lago Maggiore, such as Ascona or Locarno? Some of our favorite places to visit, that's for sure!

No, the climate here is quite the same as in Locarno and Ascona, two small Swiss towns which are not far from Arona.
