Happy birthday, Italia!

Today is your 150th birthday. We know, your life hasn't always been easy and you have often been treated without the respect that you deserve, but you have been patient and forgiving. Trying to keep the family together, has not always been an easy task, especially with family members who have such different characters between them.  You know that they have not yet given the best of themselves, but they will make it, together and united as a family should be. You'll see! Happy birthday, Italia, and...many happy returns.

Happy 150th Birthday Italy. Funny enough I have been teaching the Unification of Italy this week so we sang Happy Birthday today. Thank you for your kind words on my blog. You also have a great blog and obviously live in a very beautiful part of Italy. I am coming to Europe in 2 weeks but sadly will not be able to visit your great land.
