Gorgeous mountain shrouded in that swirling mist. Perfect.
This is a very beautiful image but the greenish tone is somewhat disconcerting. I grew up in Tennessee and when the sky turns green there, you better head for shelter because a tornado is coming!
Ha! I didn't think of tornadoes. Though we used to get that color in Illinois at tornado time, it never came with mist. I just saw the little homes on the mountainside and thought it looks romantic.

We get this kind of strange light high up in the mountains, where the warmer air from the valley and the colder air from the mountains create amazing light situations, Snapper!! And when there is some fog and sunshine trying to get through...

By moving the camera slightly towards the light, or more downwards, you can sometimes get a totally different light. I choose this one, because of its greenish effect. When the weather is somewhat wild high up in the mountains you can get these particular light-phenomena even with fog.

Having retired from work gives me all the necessary time to dedicate it to my true passion: photography.
I always carry a digital camera with me. Always!
Then, the area I live in is one of the most beautiful in the Northern part of Italy, close to the Swiss border. I get up very early in the morning to walk around for about an hour in and around Arona, shooting often the same scenery but with totally different lighting and/or angle. Or I take the car and do not have to drive far to visit amazing little lake towns along the other 6 lakes around "mine".
I shoot many photos every day but will choose only one or two and cancel the rest.
Then, a trained eye (which I received from my parents who were both very talented in this respect) helps to do the rest.

Thanks for sharing D. I guess knew if I got out more I would find more photo ops. What I can't duplicate is your fabulous town and area OR your well trained eye. Your parents may can claim some credit for it but not all my friend. Something I don't think most of us consider is shooting the same place/thing over and over as you said with a different angle or lighting. You are the master at it and we should all sit up and take note.
