Path to the vineyards

I will be away till next saturday. Off to the very south of Italy to visit a local winery. I hope to be able to make interesting photos there to post them upon my return. Greetings from Arona to all of you!

Very beautiful, Diederick. I have thought about tyre marks in mud a few times but never been game enough. Your distance image overcomes this. Great composition ... I have not seen valleys quite this beautiful for some time.

Enjoy your trip south. I look forward to your eye on the vineyards.

Find me some Prosecco while you're there! The music and lyrics are on their way I think!!

Thank you for your stimulating words, Julie!!

Thank you too, Bergson!!

More and more younger people here in Italy are "diving" into the wine-business, following it up from the vines all the way to the wines, Ann!! This is an excellent sign of new entrepreneurship.

No Prosecco, where I am going today, Virginia, but I'll taste some excellent white wines to your good health!!
Thanks for the music and lyrics and I will have the pleasure to thank Michael also directly!!

sounds dumb, but this reminds of the movie Patton, where George C Scott remembers his former life as a Roman general...spooky!

Thank you all of you!
I am still in this incredible region in the deep south of Italy (Basilicata - Vulture area), where they produce a wonderful wine with the Aglianico grapes! Cultivation of the grapes and vinification is at the same level of Brunello di Montalcino and Barolo. Prices are much lower though! The autumn colours in the vineyards are so beautiful. I will post some photos from saturday onwards! Cheers from Basilicata as well as Arona!
