I'll drink to that gorgeous, gorgeous landscape!!! Grazie for putting it up before I leave on my jet plane. Au revoir my friend, I mean Mr. Arona! Mister Earl's a piece of work isn't he!! V
The colors are so beautifully rich. My uncle returned from Croatia tonight. They had a decent harvest at the family vineyard although a lot of grapes were too dry due to the drought. They still managed to make 500 l of wine.
Thank you, Carrie, D and Tash, for your kind comments. This year should be an excellent wine year, so I wish the same for your uncle, Tash!!
Au revoir, my friend Virginia, et bon voyage!! I have no doubt at all that you will have a great time in France, considering also your very sunny character!! Enjoy yourselves!
Thanks Fredrik!! The wines, "Aglianico del Vulture",are considered at the level of the best Brunello di Montalcino and of the best Barolo wines! Only after 4 years of vinification proceedings, it is put on the market. It can stay in the bottle for another 5 to 10 years, when they are at their top-level!
The Aglianico wine belongs to the very best in Italy, together with Brunello di Montalcino, Barolo and Sassicaia, Dusty Lens!! To give you an idea: the 2008 vintage excellent by the way!) will be available on the market at the beginning of 2013! If then you keep the wine in the bottle for another five years even ten years, you would have a fantastic wine on your table!! I know that in the US the prices reach U$ 140/U$170 per bottle depending on the vintage. I am going to take care of one of the best wineries in the "Vulture" area for export purposes. Diederick

So lovely. Interesting sky too.
Beautiful!
Such wonderful geometry in this shot, Diederick. Both the colours and the shape add such density to your image.
