He was sitting there in the centre of Friedrichshafen, probably thinking of whom he had left behind in his home country, while his fingers flew unceasingly over the keyboards, creating incredible spirals of notes and chords.

Even taking into account the angle of the photograph, this chap has very long legs. His face appears a little quizzical - almost apprehensive. Is busking allowed?

This is such a quintessentially European photograph. I'd never seen anyone busking with an accordion til I went to Italy. Cheers!

Busking is allowed in Italy and also in other European countries, if the people who do so ask for a permission for street-entertainment. You wil find, of course, many who do not but entertain all the same while keeping a close eye on all street entries to watch out for any possible policeman coming their way.
This particular street-artist looked too relaxing to be afraid of any police raid.
As far as the quizzical glint in his eyes is concerned, he told me he was 21, so very young, but I believe that life has not been easy for him throughout these years. He smiled in a friendly way but his eyes did not.
