Ahh ... Italy. One of my favorite countries. I'll be visiting a customer in Naples to test some equipment sometime in October. Hopefully they'll put me in a hotel on the beach again.
Lake Maggiore is gorgeous here! The island, surrounded by glittering water and also by the mountains, has an air of serenity. I like the tumultuousness of the buildings - as though they are all in a hurry and just tumble over each other. So different from just a few kms away over the border!
This glittering island in Lake Maggiore is really a gem for us all who live here and for the ones that come to visit our area. Youy should see it in Spring when the island is covered with Azaleas and Rhodondendrons!
Thank you,Benjamin!! I see this island regularly as it is 15 minutes away from my home, and every time it seems nearly unreal in its beauty.
Thanks for your comments, Sharon!!
Thanks for visiting again, Ann!! The area is indeed ideal for living. The big cities are too crouded, too noisy and too polluted for my liking. That is why I chose to live in this area already 18 years ago and I do not regret that choise at all.
Spring must be beautiful in your area, Suzanne!! I must say that it is only this year that the four seasons are behaving correctly. In the previous years the thermostat seemed to be out of order, with heat and old in the wrong seasons.

It looks so storybook-like it's hard to believe it's a real place with real people walking around and living ordinary lives. Just Beautiful!
What a beautiful place. I'd love to visit sometime.
One day I'm going to get up there - what a place to live. I'm tired of city life.
Ah, but here we have spring in all her glory. Mind you, autumn in Italy is just spectacular. I miss that radical changing of seasons.
Thank you,Benjamin!!
